Real Hot Springs – Real Nature – Relaxation
Natural Hot Mineral Springs have been found deep underground on
Melbourne’s Mornington Peninsula. The 50ºC waters rich in healing
minerals are now flowing to the surface and into the thermal pools
at the new Peninsula Hot Springs.
For the first time in Victoria you can bathe in the
naturally healing waters of mineral rich thermal pools. Like the
historic and famous spa centres of Europe, Asia, the Americas and New
Zealand, the natural hot springs on the Mornington Peninsula bring the
blissful and healthy pleasure of “taking the waters” to the people.
Peninsula Hot Springs was founded by brothers Charles & Richard
Davidson and Norm Cleland. The inspiration for the project began
when Charles visited several hot springs while living in Japan in
1992. This sparked off several years of touring and studying hot
springs around the world. In 1996 Charles heard a rumour that hot
geothermal water had been discovered on the Mornington Peninsula in
1979, and a search of Department of Minerals and Energy records
substantiated it.
In 1997 the two brothers formed a partnership and they bought the
42 acre site on which the hot springs now stand. It took several
more years of hard work to design the facility, secure the water
licence and obtain a planning permit, and the introduction of a new
investor, in the form of Norm Cleland and his family, before the
facility opened in June 2005.

Thermal Pools
In the Thermal Pools you will love the serenity of the central pool
with a covered grotto, the invigoration of the bubbling spa couch, the
stillness of the indoor thermal pool with lakeside view, and the
therapeutic benefits of the natural massage from the mineral
waterfall. If relaxation and a heavenly bathing paradise is what you

Private Pools and Day Spa
Enjoy the tranquillity and delight of relaxing in the private warm
mineral pools and baths and enjoying the therapeutic spa bliss at the
Li’tya Spa Dreaming Centre. The private spa offers a choice of indoor
and outdoor hot mineral baths, a steam infusion room and a relaxation
room for exclusive use by spa centre patrons. All treatment rooms are
doubles enabling you to choose to enjoy your spa treatment experience
together with your friend or partner or, if you prefer, alone. Our
professionally trained staff will guide you through your spa
experience making you feel relaxed and in a total state of bliss every
step of the way.
Bathe Café
The Bathe Café serving fresh healthy spa cuisine, fresh juices and
local wines, enjoys a sweeping view over the lakes, grasslands,
woodlands and wetlands on the 42 acre (17 hectare) site.

Our Team
Our team comprises of approximately 70 men and women all from the
Mornington Peninsula region who share a common desire to maximise
your Hot Springs experience. All of our team receive basic training
in first aid, and have undergone an orientation course to ensure
they can answer your questions.
All of our therapists are fully accredited massage therapists and
receive additional in-house training in the Li'Tya massage
techniques offered at the Spa Dreaming Centre.
