Hot & cold mineral waters flow from deep underground
at Peninsula Hot Springs

Hot spring water flows at 50ºC from an aquifer 637 metres below the surface rising to within 10 metres of the surface under its own pressure. The thermal mineral water temperature in the many pools varies from 37ºC to 42ºC.
The geothermal water contains a total of 3200 PPM (parts per million) of total dissolved minerals. The primary mineral groups include bicarbonate, magnesium, potassium and sodium. Good levels of calcium, boron, selenium as well as several key trace minerals are present in the water.
A detailed analysis of the geothermal water was conducted by the Institute of Geological & Nuclear Sciences in New Zealand. The analyses were sent to the Mineral Water Association in Moscow and the Hot Spring Research Institute in Tokyo both of which confirmed they are ideal for healthy bathing and relaxation.
