This month's profile ... Mark Denovan

By now we've all been enchanted by the steaming waterfalls of the Peninsula Hot Springs gully thermal stream since the opening of Stage 2, and Mark Denovan's expertise was a major factor in the creation of this stunning exercise in spa landscaping.

Having trained under Hajime Watanabe in Japan, Mark spent 22 years in Japanese Landscape design. He was Zoen Kenchiku Ikkyu accredited in 1989 (Japanese Landscape Construction Level 1).

Mark has been maintaining the Japanese Embassy gardens in Canberra since 1991 and considers stone placement a specialty, along with courtyards and larger spaces.

Mark's takes an authentic design and construction approach to Japanese gardens, with both contemporary and traditional forms.

If you'd like to introduce magical elements to your own garden (home or business), you can call Mark on 0418 640 549. The Peninsula Hot Springs team highly recommends Mark's work, the results of which are for all to enjoy surrounding the natural hot mineral pools of the thermal gully.
