Wellness Centre

Peninsula Hot Springs has plans to provide accommodation facilities and a Wellness Centre on its 42 acre (17 hectare) site on the Mornington Peninsula in Victoria, Australia.

While it has the necessary council approvals to do so it requires time to see their sensitive integration onto the beautiful site of rolling sand dunes and teatrees.

In the meantime we would like to introduce visitors of the springs and our "virtual visitors" to the world of wellness. To do this we have requested the assistance of well known wellness advisor and practitioner Neal Hoptman to guide us along the path to good health.

Neal has made a selection of what he considers to the be the best podcasts on health and wellness on the ever expanding web to support you in your daily goals of optimal health and wellbeing.

This is the beginning of a much larger plan of bringing the world of health and good living knowledge to you here at Peninsula Hot Springs' virtual wellness centre.

We don’t talk about how many calories a mars bar contain. We take a fresh approach, introducing engaging and topical issues such as body image, the dangers of sugar, how thoughts travel, and how to breathe (thought you knew already, didn’t you!) which kids respond to with great interest, actively participating in discussions and activities designed to provide a fun and experiential form of learning.

Palate Earth is an incubator of wellness programmes to schools, corporates, individuals and groups. For more information on what we do, please take a minute, breathe, and visit our website at www.palateearth.com

Breathing Workshops at the Peninsula Hot Springs

A three week introduction into pranayama, with interactive discussion and practice.

Monday 22 November - 5 December, 2010

We look at what prana is (chi/ vital energy) where it lies, how to obtain it, conserve it, use it and grow from it.
Bring your breath from the unconscious to the conscious, regulating and mastering it to clear your mind, relax your body and make the world a calmer place to live in.
Breath techniques are a useful tool for anybody to help manage stress and pain, develop concentration and memory, become more efficient in daily life and career, further their yoga practice, and connect to a deeper wisdom.
Learn these simple techniques following the ancient Vedanta (yoga) philosophy. One hour instructed classes of theory and practice will be followed by a an optional 10 minute breath exercise in the pools. You are then welcome to stay and enjoy the Hot Springs for as long as you desire.
A daily practice is issued at the end of each class. By the end of the three weeks you will have your own breath practice to take away, designed specifically around your individual needs.
There is no mystery, only practice.
