We are delighted to present series four of our Artist in Residence Program, featuring internationally acclaimed musicians Mindy Meng Wang and Monica Lim, performing a showcase musical act.
Over the course of a week-long residency, the duo are set to explore the intersection of ancient traditions and contemporary innovation, blending the sounds of the Chinese guzheng, piano, electronic textures, and cross-disciplinary performance.
Their residency culminates in a closing showcase, presenting new works inspired by the healing waters and natural landscape of Peninsula Hot Springs. Mindy Meng Wang and Monica Lim will perform on Friday 28 November from 7pm. Complimentary with your bathing experience.

about our artists
Mindy Meng Wang
A world-leading guzheng performer and Chinese-Australian composer, Mindy spans experimental, classical, electronic, jazz, pop, and improvised music. She has performed with Gorillaz, Sydney Symphony Orchestra, Paul Grabowsky, and more, and was named “Best Musician” at the 2021 Music Victoria Awards. She is pioneering the guzheng’s place in contemporary music globally.
Monica Lim
A Melbourne-based composer and sound artist, Monica’s work spans contemporary dance, performance art, film, installation, and emerging technologies such as the Electromagnetic Piano. Her compositions have been presented at Arts House, AsiaTOPA, Venice Biennale Architettura, and Seoul Performing Arts Festival. She also serves on the boards of Melbourne Recital Centre and Liquid Architecture.
