Create Meaningful Easter Memories | Peninsula Hot Springs Blog

For many of us, the Easter holiday is a favourite: mild yet cosy weather meets laidback family time and delicious food.

Arriving at the end of the year’s first quarter, it offers a natural moment to pause and rest. It’s also an opportunity to choose our own traditions and rituals, including spending restorative, quality time in nature with the people we care about.

nature-based holidays

Autumn is the ideal season for holidaying outdoors: the heat of summer has passed, yet the cold of winter is yet to come. Nature-based holidays can involve packing the car full of equipment and heading off on a camping adventure, but they can also look like relaxing together with a sunrise soak or bathing at dusk in geothermal pools.

A 90-minutes drive from Melbourne, Peninsula Hot Springs is close enough to the city for a day trip, yet far enough away to fully immerse yourself in nature. Surrounded by ocean, wetlands and remnant bushland, our wellbeing oasis is a verdant space where guests can experience the wonder of the natural world. Bathe early to hear the morning call of frogs and birds, or at night to admire the stars in the open sky above.

We have several cafes and restaurants on-site (including open-air options), and guests are also most welcome to bring their own picnic lunch to enjoy in our grassy picnic areas.

prioritise connection

Holidays can be an opportunity to slow down and reconnect, away from the routines of daily life. Our Bath House offers wellbeing experiences for all ages, making it an ideal place for multi-generational connection. While small children delight in the Family Pool, Bathing Barrels or Baby Baths, their grandparents might enjoy soaking in the Hydrotherapy Pool, saunas or steam room. We also offer special school holiday activities to enhance the enjoyment of our young guests during their visit.

Our Spa Dreaming Centre, on the other hand, is designed as an adults-only area suited to singles and couples seeking tranquillity and the space to unwind together. As well as bathing, the Spa Dreaming Centre offers spa treatments, private baths and chef-curated dining experiences

Whether visiting with the entire family or your favourite person, Peninsula Hot Springs is a place to retreat from the ordinary and find relaxed togetherness.

creating rituals

Shared rituals are an important part of the fabric of a family, whether that family is chosen or biological. They are often attached to calendar days, such as Friday movie night, Saturday morning pancakes or Sunday yum cha – or to holidays like Easter.

Easter-time traditions might involve sharing a roast lamb lunch or holidaying in the same spot each year; taking a walk or enjoying a late afternoon beach swim together after lunch; or simpler things like matching pyjamas, craft sessions, Easter egg hunts or a shared favourite game.

The great thing about rituals and traditions is that we can create our own whenever we choose. Peninsula Hot Springs is open year-round, and with a wide array of experiences on offer across our Bath House and Spa Dreaming Centre, it’s the perfect place to mark a meaningful new tradition.

coming together in the gentleness of autumn

The magic of autumn is to be found in its slow, gentle rhythms, and the Easter school holidays provide a uniquely spacious time to gather with loved ones. There’s something particularly refreshing about sharing experiences that combine quality time, nature immersion and wellbeing – and you’ll find opportunities for all three at Peninsula Hot Springs.
