Real Hot Springs - relaxation

Entering the bathing area is like stepping into another world, a sanctuary where the mind and body are calmed by the steam, the sound of running water and the casual banter of bathers. It's a place where time is forgotten.

BathingPeninsula Hot Springs is the first natural hot springs and day spa centre in Victoria, just 90 minutes from Melbourne. Natural thermal mineral waters flow into the pools and private baths providing the idyllic setting for relaxation and rejuvenation. Peninsula Hot Springs makes it possible to bathe in the naturally healing waters of mineral rich thermal pools.

Two facilities provide a relaxation experience for everyone:

The Bath House has over 20 bathing experiences on offer with areas suitable for visitors of all ages including a Hilltop pool (right) with 360 deg views, reflexology walk, Turkish steam room, sauna, cave pool, family bathing area and many more. The bathing gully and Hilltop pool area is available to all guests until 10am after which time it becomes a tranquil 16+ years bathing zone. A Bath House cafe offers a variety of healthy meals in the morning, afternoon and early evening (see Cafe Menu).

If you are planning to visit during a peak period (weekends, school and public holidays) please make an online booking for your bathing access to the Bath House as it does become fully booked. Bookings can be made over the phone ($5 fee) or online (free of charge). Book your bathing arrival time online. If you are seeking a more tranquil bathing experience during a peak period, we would recommend booking a Spa Dreaming Centre Bathe package.

The Spa Dreaming Centre provides bathing and spa treatments in a tranquil, relaxing setting for guests 16 years and older. The Spa Dreaming Centre offers breakfast and lunch everyday and dinner Tue, Fri and Sat nights and light snacks all other evenings. Open 9 am to 9 pm daily (last bathing 8:45 pm).

The 50°C naturally hot mineral spring water flows from an underground aquifer 637 metres below the surface. The water runs untouched direct from the source to the pools, which range between 37°C and 43°C. Peninsula Hot Springs thermal mineral water contains a range of naturally occurring minerals including sulphur, calcium, magnesium, potassium and many others and is classified as a “Sodium Chloride Bicarbonate Spring” (Na-Cl.HCO3).

The therapeutic benefits of the mineral springs are said to include the alleviation of neuralgia, bruising, articular rheumatism, stiffness of the shoulders, recovery from fatigue and muscular complaints and enhancing fertility.

Opening hours

The Bath House bathing area is open daily from 7.30am to 10pm

Discounted entry is available for Early bird bathing (7.30am to 9am) and Twilight bathing (7pm to 10pm)

The Spa Dreaming Centre is open daily from 9 am to 9 pm for bathing and spa treatments.

Please note that guests are requested to leave the pools 20 minutes before the facility closing time.
