Join us (virtually) for World Wellness Weekend
We’re delighted to share our World Wellness Weekend program for 2020 with you. This year is going to look a little different as we invite you to participate in a series of virtual events.
Hosted on Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th September, this year’s program will be available online and free for our whole community and we encourage you to get involved.
We have aligned our 2020 offering with six core wellbeing pillars: connect, move, unwind, nourish, grow and rest. A series of 30-minute workshops from us to you will be hosted by many talented friends of the Springs.
Whether you get involved for one activity or all of them, each 30-minute session can be done from the comfort of your own home. Discover more information about our activities below and tune into our social media channels at the scheduled times to get involved.

CONNECT – Welcome to the Sun ritual and guided meditation with Lionel Lauch (living culture) and Jane Hone (magic space yoga)
We have always believed that wellness begins with connection – with ourselves, our community and the environment around us. Join us to begin the weekend with a Welcome to the Sun ritual and guided meditation at sunrise. Uncle Lionel Lauch will share a traditional smoking ceremony and Yidaki sound healing, grounding us in presence to welcome the new day. Jane will continue this opportunity to connect with a guided meditation to unite us as a community for World Wellness Weekend.

Lionel is a Gunditjmara Kirrae Wurrung – Bundjalung man, who has lived on the Mornington Peninsula since he was 6 years old. Passionate about his cultural heritage and people, Lionel embraces the opportunity to share his knowledge of the land and educate others about his culture.
Jane Hone is a yoga teacher and freelance writer who is passionate about helping people slow down and connect with the world around them. She lives by the ocean on Boon Wurrung land.
MOVE – Gentle morning yoga flow with Sonja (honestly yoga)
Get your body moving with a gentle morning yoga class with Sonja. The class will leave you feeling open, balanced and energised to ease you into your day ahead.

With a background in jazz ballet, Sonja has been practicing yoga for over 20 years and teaching for over 7 years (200 HRS RYS certification in yoga, meditation and pranayama (breath work)). Well known for her magical ambient tone of voice and immersive, inspirational and deeply infectious yoga classes, Sonja is passionate about sharing the teachings of yoga with all ages and levels of experience.
NOURISH – Delicious and healthy arvo snack with Kate Save (Be Fit Food).
Discover wellbeing from the inside out and create a healthy yet delicious protein ball treat. Follow along with Kate as she walks you through how to make a nutritious, quick and easy afternoon snack.

Amanda Campbell, is the founder of Bend Like Bamboo, a program designed to maximise resilience and health. As a Sports Kinesiologist and Wellness Presenter, she believes that flexibility builds resilience. With a flexible mindset we can master change and reimagine what can be possible in our mind, body and life. Overcoming a paralysis at age 29 from MS, Amanda discovered that a flexible mindset impacts everything that matters: our body’s ability to repair, how happy and resilient we are and how connected we feel.
Former CEO of Sportsgirl and Founder of ‘Mentor Me Women’, Colleen is an inspiration to women of all generations. She is passionate about encouraging women globally to have the confidence to believe in themselves, their ability, share their voice and find the “Superpower within”, whether that be in boardrooms, organisations, communities or even in the home. Colleen has just launched her mentor me program @mentorme_women which is aimed at making mentoring accessible and affordable for all women.
UNWIND – Create your own tea ritual with Sarada (Organic India)
Sarada will guide you through a 30-minute tea workshop centred on how to unwind. Prepare a cup or teapot of your favourite blend of stress-relieving ORGANIC INDIA Tulsi Tea or herbal tea of choice and get ready to slow down. Immerse yourself in a relaxing and nourishing session, and learn how to incorporate a daily tea ritual into your everyday life.

REST – slow down for sleep through yoga nidra with Sian Pascale (The Light Collective)
Finish off the weekend with a guided meditation designed to bring you into a state of complete relaxation. Sian will guide you through a Yoga Nidra class designed to effortlessly drop you into deep states of consciousness, just by lying down and listening. The most gentle and effective way to reduce stress, unwind and release. Make sure you have a quiet place to lie, either on a yoga mat or your bed. Make sure you are as comfortable as possible, loose clothing, hair out, pillows blankets and cushions so you can rest in stillness.

Sian is an experienced Energetic, Breath, Meditation and Yoga teacher (E-RYT500hr Yoga Alliance Certified Trainer). Her teachings draw from India where she lived and trained for several years, learning through the Hatha, Ashtanga, Himalayan Kundalini and Tantric lineages.
