understanding our water, benefits & mineral content

our water

an oasis of calm healing

Across the world, and throughout decades, water therapies and facilities have contributed to creating wellness experiences that provide lasting physical and mental health benefits.

Our geothermal water comes from 637 metres below Earth's surface and is high in healing minerals including Boron, Magnesium, Potassium and Sodium. Our water emerges from a filtration hot spring estimated to have been deep within the earth for more than 10,000 years, classifying us a 'true mineral spring'.

Balneology is the scientific study of the therapeutic benefits of naturally occurring mineral waters.

Doctors have come to recognise the value of prescribing bathing in mineral waters as part of a preventative approach to illness, as well as to reduce fluid retention, chronic pain, musculoskeletal injuries and stress.

The practice of balneotherapy involves immersing the body in water - like geothermal hot springs - for therapeutic purposes. The key benefits can be attributed to various factors including the temperature of the water, the minerals and trace elements, as well as buoyancy, taking pressure off joints and muscles relieving points of tension in the body.
