5 ways to enjoy the hot springs with your child

We're often asked whether children can visit the Peninsula Hot Springs. Not only are kids as young as one month old welcomed to our Bath House, but there is a range of experiences and activities designed specifically for kids of all ages. Little ones absolutely love exploring the hot springs and parents absolutely love how soundly they sleep afterwards.
Here are our top ways to enjoy our Bath House with kids:
**1. Soak in our shallower, cooler pools ** Our family pool, which is located to the right as you walk out of the main Bath House changerooms, includes a large, shallow pool that’s perfect for toddlers to sit in, while adults can comfortably lie down and relax. Our kid-friendly pools are also cooler in temperature, so you don’t need to worry about your little one overheating.
This area is also home to large sunbeds and a convenient family change room.
**2. Bathe in our baby baths and barrels ** Adjacent to the family pool are two experiences designed with fun and functionality in mind. You can bathe your baby in our beautiful purpose-built stone basins, while kids big and small enjoy plonking themselves in our half barrels.
**3. Enjoy a picnic in our shady, grassed picnic areas ** Take a break and discover our refreshing meals, snacks and drinks in our Bath House café or why not pre-order a delicious picnic hamper, freshly prepared in our Amphitheatre café, and relax and enjoy as you stretch out under a shady tree in our picnic area? Guests are welcome to bring their own snacks or feast to tuck into between bathing sessions or before piling the family back into the car.
**4. Sit under the falling water in our Southern Terrace ** Nestled to the left as you walk down the main Bath House stairs is a constellation of shallow pools, including a cool pool and one with a bamboo water feature that’s just as fun as it is relaxing.
**5. Enjoy the bubble spa couch ** Just outside the first aid office is a pool particularly popular with kids: the bubble spa. It’s the perfect place to lie back on a platform and while mineral water bubbles all around you – just like in a spa bath.
