Five reasons to try glamping on the Mornington Peninsula

Written by Amelia

there are plenty of reasons to explore glamping on the Mornington Peninsula — from access to gorgeous beaches, award-winning wineries and boutique shopping to the easy 90-minute drive from Melbourne.

And when it comes to Peninsula Hot Springs Glamping accommodation, there are even more reasons to pack your overnight bag and skip away for the night. Allow us to reel off a few.

Our Glamping tents are especially luxurious

We use the word ‘glamping’ to describe our version of ‘glamorous camping’ — but it doesn’t quite do justice to the stunning interiors of our premium tents. Our Glamping tents are spacious enough to include a king-size bed, day bed, writing desk, ensuite bathroom, walk-in wardrobe (where you’ll find fluffy bathrobes) and private deck (where you can enjoy a coffee, Tulsi tea or glass of wine). They are also appointed with split system heating and cooling, a bar fridge, a hair dryer, an in-room safe and ironing facilities.

Each tent is decorated with heated terrazzo floors and soft furnishings that harmonise with the natural environment. For elevated luxury, in-room dining is available with items such as grazing platters, gourmet pizzas, fresh juices, local wines and beer — and a supper menu that’s available all night. Glamping near Melbourne has never been so enjoyable.

It’s more than just accommodation

All Peninsula Hot Springs accommodation includes geothermal mineral bathing, a delicious meal, wellness experiences and robes, towels and lockers — providing a stellar line-up of excuses to plan a Mornington Peninsula hot springs visit overnight.

Glamping guests are free to immerse themselves in both of our bathing areas (the Bath House and Spa Dreaming Centre) with all-of-site bathing and enjoy over 70 globally-inspired bathing experiences. Check-in is available from 2pm, and Glampers can bathe until noon the following day (beyond the 10am check-out). Peninsula Hot Springs Glamping guests also have access to a pool in our Amphitheatre reserved for accommodation guests only.

On the day of arrival guests will have the option of joining us for a signature wellness experience as part of all Glamping accomodation offerings. With a choice between our Fire and Ice Workshop, Body Clay Ritual, Bathing Barrel experience or morning Yoga Flow class, guests will feel a boost to their wellbeing with this unique inclusion.

On the morning after your stay, float off to the Spa Dreaming Centre dining room and enjoy a wholesome breakfast complete with juice and tea or coffee.

Whether you’re interested in overnight spa packages outside melbourne or simply glamping on the Mornington Peninsula, our bookings offer a unique world of wellbeing.

You can take advantage of early morning and moonlit bathing

Geothermal mineral bathing is a beautiful experience at any time of day — but submerging yourself in a hot spring in the early hours of the morning or while the stars twinkle overhead can be particularly magical. Exploring the Mornington Peninsula’s hot springs overnight makes for a totally unique Glamping experience.

Morning and evening also tend to be our quietest times, and Peninsula Hot Springs Glamping guests enjoy the privilege of soaking in our pools when they are at their most tranquil. As well as our geothermal pools, our bathing includes over 70 experiences — from saunas and steam rooms to cold plunge pools, massaging mineral showers, hydrojet pools and much more.

Enjoy bathing from 5am to 2am with Glamping accommodation.

You can enhance your visit to suit the occasion

Whether you’re Glamping with a partner, a friend or alone, you can enhance your visit with a chef’s selection dinner for two, and, if you’re in the mood for a little extra pampering, spa treatments.

Glamping and Dine packages include a nourishing sit-down dinner in addition to the breakfast included with Glamping bookings. Enjoy a two-course meal plus wine or beer in our Spa Dreaming Centre dining room, where you’ll be treated to beautifully balanced S.L.O.W. (seasonal, local, organic, whole) dishes.

For an especially enhanced visit, we offer Glamping, Dine and 60-minute Spa and Glamping, Dine and 90-minute Spa — so you can indulge in facial or body treatment while you’re here. As far as overnight spa packages near Melbourne go, we think these are up there with the best.

Our grounds are abundant in natural beauty

Glamping on the Mornington Peninsula is popular because of the natural wonder of the region, and Peninsula Hot Springs is located on tens of hectares of sprawling bushland. For somewhere so close, you won’t feel as though you’re glamping near Melbourne.

Our Glamping tents are incredibly cosy and luxurious while immersing you in the elements: as you doze off you might hear falling rain or sea breezes moving through the trees as well as the sounds of birds and frogs.

We have three options available for Peninsula Hot Springs accommodation: Garden View rooms, Lake View rooms and, for those wanting complete privacy, a Secluded Pavilion.

As you wander and explore our Bath House and Spa Dreaming Centre, you’ll come across native and indigenous plants, as well as friendly local wildlife. Our geothermal pools are surrounded by trees, providing shade as you bathe in the beautifully pristine air of the Mornington Peninsula. You’ll also discover grassed picnic areas, hammocks strung between sheoak trees and a Hilltop pool with 360-degree views of the region (plus sunrise and sunset).
