Our Amphitheatre preview party
On Sunday, July 29 2018 we had the pleasure of hosting our industry and project partners and the media for a special preview of our new Bath House Amphitheatre.
As guests arrived they were led through our new Wellness Centre, where they were treated to live displays of Reformer Pilates and aerial yoga from Studio PP and massage from Elly Lukas using products by Synthesis Organics— a sneak peek of what’s to come in our program of wellness classes, activities and retreats.
The wellness fun continued with a surprise yoga flash mob in the Amphitheatre as crowd members started spontaneously performing a yoga sequence in front of an unsuspecting audience. The Amphitheatre was officially unveiled with a Welcome to Country from Boon Wurrung Elder Aunty Carolyn Briggs and speeches from Federal Minister The Hon. Mark Coulton MP, State Minister The Hon. John Eren MP and local Mayor Cr. Bryan Payne. Peninsula Hot Springs Founder and CEO Charles Davidson and General Manager Brook Ramage shared the hot springs journey and vision before opening up the Amphitheatre stage to a string of globally-inspired music performances. Chairwoman of SVI Global Laura Anderson held the space as Master of Ceremonies.
Over in the fire and ice area there was a magic show courtesy of The Dreaming Space to kick off demonstrations of hot and cold therapy. Our resident cryotherapy expert Mark Cohen showed guests how to use the minus 10-degree Celsius Ice Cave, minus 25-degree Deep Freeze and cold plunge pools—as well as the wet and dry saunas—as part of his Extreme Wellness talk. Meanwhile, our new Cultural Meeting Space came alive with fireside storytelling from Aunty Carolyn, didgeridoo performance from Lionel Lauch and music from Nola Lauch and Pete Dawson.
With incredible food and drink, roving entertainment and a variety of wellness-focused workshops stationed all over the hot springs property, the night was a superb introduction to what will be our most amazing development yet. Come see for yourself this September.
