Peninsula Explorer has hit the road
After years of dreaming big, on November 1, Charles Davidson co-owner of Peninsula Hot Springs led an incredible supporting cast of locals, government and investors alike to celebrate the launch of the big red bus- Peninsula Explorer.
Coach doors opened and new beginnings were ushered in with a Welcome to Country by treasured supporter Aunty Carolyn Briggs of the Boon Wurrung Foundation. Honoured guests, representing three tiers of government highlighted the ripple effect of this initiative. The introduction of new jobs and customers to existing local business, the ability to showcase the incredible stories and scenery of the area, and the comprehensive experience offered to visitors and locals alike with great ticket pricing.
Braving the weather from the top deck and united in their position towards local tourism growth, The Hon. Martin Dixon MP, Victorian State Member for Nepean, Minister for Education, The Hon. Greg Hunt MP, Federal Member for Flinders, Minister for the Environment and Mayor, Cr. Antonella Celi of the Mornington Peninsula Shire all stood tall.
The ‘explorers’ in attendance then had the opportunity to celebrate the experience with song ‘The Magic Bus’ by local musicians, Cousin Leonard.
