rain, hail or shine this autumn

An all-weather guide to Peninsula Hot Springs
All Melburnians would agree that we regularly experience four seasons in one day. This often makes planning for a day out difficult, not knowing what to wear or if the day’s activities will be suitable once the rain hits. Put your concerns to rest. We have created an all-weather guide to Peninsula Hot Springs to reassure you that we have you covered, no matter what the weather forecast brings.

rainy days at the springs
Can it get any better? You’re already wet, but imagine you’re body is submerged in a toasty 39-degree geothermal pool, steam rising from the water’s surface as cool drops of rain fall onto your face and shoulders. The geothermal mineral water keeps you nice and warm while the rain provides a refreshing shower.
Yoga & pilates
On weekends, we invite you to seek shelter from the rain in our wellness centre. Our unique program combines our healing waters with a range of movement and mindfulness activities to create the ultimate wellbeing experience. Explore the ancient wisdom of yoga through a gentle flow guided by an experienced teacher. Or choose to enhance your strength and mobility to become a master of your own body in our dynamic introductory mat Pilates classes.

hail or windy days at the springs
Hail and wind can often put a dampener on outdoor activities, but fortunately we have multiple places for you to retreat when the weather takes a turn. Our Turkish steam bath, often referred to as our Hamam, is a detoxifying experience like no other. Lie back in the Hamam and embrace the benefits which include reducing muscle tension and rehydrating the skin. We also have three saunas in our main bathing area, each with different outlooks and benefits. There is an underground sauna, a dry sauna and a traditional sauna, each seating between 10 to 30 people. Sit back whilst the sauna aids stress relief and induces deep sleep. In the coming months we will also be launching relaxation lounges. Beautifully fitted with tables, lounges and heating/cooling, they will be available to hire as your own exclusive space.
fire, ice and bathe
Be invigorated by the powers of hot and cold therapy in our state-of-the-art saunas and Ice Cave. Flow between our hot saunas, our sub zero Ice Cave and Deep Freeze chamber, cold plunge pools and geothermal hot springs. You will learn and experience the key health benefits of this popular science under the guidance of trained instructors during the 45 minute workshops.
Available: Saturdays and Sundays at 12:30pm

picnics in nature
Our outdoor picnic areas are located in our family-friendly Bath House and Bath House Amphitheatre. These picnic areas means you can enjoy your own food throughout the day. There’s ample lawn space, picnic seating and tables in a beautiful native coastal garden setting. We know you’ll love the view and we ask that you don’t take your own food into the bathing areas or café. Please leave glassware and alcohol at home.
