Reopening of Peninsula Hot Springs: COVID-19 update
As a place of wellness, we have always created a sanctuary for you to relax and rejuvenate in nature. We are delighted to welcome our community back to enjoy Bath House bathing and dining with us from Sunday 7th June. We will be welcoming you back to our Spa Dreaming Centre from Friday 12th of June.
We have introduced a range of measures to ensure the ongoing health and safety of our team and our treasured guests, in line with government advice. Whilst some of these practices may reshape the way you spend time with us, with your help they will allow us to continue to deliver the restorative hot springs experience you know and love. We thank you for familiarising yourself with these practices in advance of your visit. It will ensure everyone will have the chance to share the spaces in our coastal oasis.
We trust that our new practices bring you the peace of mind you need to have a relaxing and rejuvenating experience with us.
- Considerations before you leave home
Booking your visit:
It is essential that you book your visit in advance. We are no longer able to welcome guests who arrive without a booking, or make adjustments or additions to booking inclusions on the day.
After the initial opening of our Bath House from 12noon on Sunday 7th June, it will be open from 8am to 6pm daily.
From Friday 12th June, we will welcome guests into both our Bath House and Spa Dreaming Centre from 8am to 6pm daily.
Contact details for each guest within a booking must be recorded to ensure contact tracing can be implemented if required and we’d love to know if you’ve brought visitors from interstate with you.
If you are feeling unwell at all, we request that you please reschedule your visit.
- What to expect upon arrival
For everyone’s safety we have significantly reduced the number of guests we can host at one time in both our Bath House and Spa Dreaming Centre, ensuring there is enough space for everyone to comfortably enjoy their experience.
When arriving at our car park, where possible we request you leave a car space between you and the next vehicle.
Please familiarise yourself with new signage at our reception entrances outlining key health and safety messages which are also available on our website.
We ask that you observe floor markers upon entry and in check–in queues to maintain appropriate personal space.
Before you enter our reception, you may be requested to have your temperature checked and will be asked to sanitise your hands. In the interests of our team and guests, anyone presenting with a high temperature will be asked to reschedule their booking.
- Social Distancing within Peninsula Hot Springs
We have installed new protective screens at our reception check-in counters to help reduce direct contact between our guests and team.
All on site payments will now be cashless, and where possible, contactless.
We ask our guests to consider the amount of time they spend during their visit In this phase of our operations. Whilst we have not introduced timed experiences, in the spirit of inclusiveness, a visit limited to three hours will allow more of our community to share in the hot springs experience.
New bather limits have been introduced in each of our geothermal pools which will be monitored by our friendly pools team and we ask for your patience as you move around the site.
Concierges will be available to help you navigate and to maintain safe distancing and hygiene practices.
We have reconfigured the seating arrangements in all our dining spaces to create more room for guests to enjoy our nourishing menus.
We ask that you observe all floor and seat markers, maintaining appropriate personal space by keeping 1.5m between yourself and others outside your booking.
In order to follow social distancing recommendations, some packages and experiences will be reintroduced at a later date. This will include all saunas, steam rooms and wellness activities and retreats including yoga, Pilates, body clay and fire and ice.
- Hygiene and Sanitation within Peninsula Hot Springs
Whilst health and hygiene is always a top consideration of ours, we have introduced even more enhanced sanitation measures to constantly disinfect high frequency touch points across our site.
Hygiene stations and hand sanitiser dispensers have been installed for use by our guests and team.
A consistent practice since we opened, throughout operating hours our geothermal water is constantly refreshed, with every pool’s water changing over completely, every 4 hours. Once our doors close, our pools are all emptied and thoroughly cleaned before being refilled in the morning of the new day. This process has been in practice since we opened nearly 15 years ago and is maintained today.
