Rip Swim – Australia’s boldest swim – 3 February 2018
The Rip Swim is back for 2018 as the biggest crossing ever of the notorious stretch of water between Point Nepean and Point Lonsdale.
140 swimmers will line up to conquer this magnificent and sometime treacherous passage that has captivated the hearts and minds of locals for many years.
Take advantage of this rare opportunity to experience the magnificence of the Port Phillip Heads and the start of the bold Rip Swim. Come aboard the wonderful Peninsula Princess Ferry, where you will feel the excitement of the start of Australia’s most adventurous open water swim and enjoy the world-class scenery of this famous gateway to Melbourne!
The trip departs from the Queenscliff Harbour at 10am on Saturday February 3rd and finishes at approximately 1pm. There is a contingency day of February 4 if the event strikes bad weather. Rip Swim will notify you by 5pm the day before if this occurs.
