about our region

The Mornington Peninsula is a region rich in landscape and it’s history.

The southern peninsula features pristine bay beaches, wild ocean beaches and the historic limestone buildings of Sorrento, while Portsea is home to Point Nepean National Park – a culturally significant Indigenous site, old military base and popular seaside walking spot.

If you head to the magical hinterland around Red Hill you’ll find a plethora of wineries and paddock-to-plate gourmet food destinations and farmers’ markets. A drive down the winding road to Arthur’s Seat reveals the Peninsula’s most stunning lookouts with broad views over Port Phillip Bay.
